Good News for govt. job seekers from WB? The Government of West Bengal is going to fill around 2 lakh vacancies in this year. The Hon'able Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee has announced today about this recruitment in different posts. She also told about the increment of salaries of Civic Volunteer (previously known as 'Civic Police'). The increment is up to 2 times.


Previously the salary of a civic volunteer was Rs. 2800 and now it is increased to Rs. 5500. So, it is really very good news for all CVs. In other hand, the CM has announced about the number of posts to be filled in. Around 70000 Teachers, 60000 Group-D and 60000 Group-C staff will be recruited.

Now the time to wait! Finger crossed. 



Very Good News! West Bengal Board of Primary Education (WBBPE) has issued official notification for Primary TET 2015 registration for fresher aspirants. The written exam will be held on 30.08.2015. The application forms are available from some selective branches of United Bank of India (UBI).


Eligibility: Must have passed Higher Secondary/ equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PH).

Price of Forms/ Application Fees: Rs. 100 (Rs. 25 for SC/ ST/ PH)


Important Notes :

  • TET-2012 Candidates who already confirmed their candidature and downloaded acknowledgement card, need not apply again.
  • Candidates who applied in 2014 and also confirmed candidature and downloaded admit card, are not required to apply again.
  • Candidates who will apply from any district and if qualified, they will get TET pass certificate and can apply for any district.
  • Candidates who lost their 2012 TET admit card/ acknowledgement card, but have photocopies of the same, are not required to re-apply. Necessary instructions will be available soon.

Many readers have requested us to publish detailed syllabus of West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) TET 2015 examination. So, today we are sharing here WBSSC TET 2015-16 Exam Pattern & Syllabus.


WBSSC TET detailed Syllabus & Scheme of Exam

The written exam consists of objective multiple choice questions (MCQs). There will be total 150 questions which carry 150 marks i.e. 1 mark for each question. You will get 1 hour and 30 minutes. Now let's have a look on exam pattern.

Compulsory for all candidates:
  1. Child Development & Pedagogy : 30 marks
  2. Language-I : 30 marks
  3. Language-II : 30 marks
These three subjects which have 90 marks are compulsory for all aspirants. 

A) For Mathematics & Science Teacher : 
  • Mathematics & Science : 60 marks
B) For  Social Studies (Arts) Teacher :
  • Social Studies - 60 marks
C) For any other teacher : Either A or B.

Note : WBSSC follows NCTE's syllabus.


Is there any negative marks in WBSSC TET exam?

No, there will be no negative marks at all.

I appeared in Primary TET 2012 exam. Now what to do?

Well, those candidates who appeared in 2012 Primary TET exam held on 31st March, 2013, need not to apply again. They can write the exam with the same admit card they have. The venue of the written exam will be the same

I appeared in 2012 and also applied in 2014. What should I do now?

Those who appeared in 2012 exam and also did confirmation through the website and got Acknowledgement Card, they can also write the exam with the help of 2012 TET's admit card and 2014's acknowledgement card.  The venue of exam and roll number are mentioned on the adit card.


I appeared in 2012 as a candidate of General category. But now I am a OBC candidate. What to do?

It won't be a problem. If you want to change your category and other details such as educational qualification, you can write it on the OMR sheet at the time of written test.




I applied in 2014. Should I apply again for 2015 TET exam?

Yes, you have to apply again. After submitting application fees in United Bank of India in 2014, the candidates got Transaction ID. Where to get it? The Transaction ID and Date are given on the bank challan. The online registration is now over (last date was on 23rd June).


I want to apply as a fresh candidate in 2015? When the registration will be started?

Well, WB primary board did not mention the exact time. As per sources, hopefully the online application for fresh candidates will be started from the end of June, 2015 and continued till 8th July.

WB Primary TET 2015 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

The written exam consists of total 150 marks. Each question carries 1 mark. There will be 5 sections which are - Child Development and Pedagogy, First Language, Second Language, Mathematics, Environment Studies. The detailed syllabus and pattern of exam are as follows-


1) Child Development and Pedagogy : 30 questions
  •  Child Development - 15 
  • Concept of Inclusive Education - 5
  • Learning of Pedagogy - 10

2) First Language : 30 questions
  • Language Comprehension (2 passages) - 15
  • Pedagogy of Language Development - 15

3) Second Language : 30 questions
  • Language Comprehension (2 passages) - 15
  • Pedagogy of Language Development - 15

4) Mathematics : 30 questions
  • Content (Class 8 to 10) - 30

5) Environmental Studies : 30 questions
  • Content (Class 1 to 10) - 30


What is the minimum qualification marks in Primary TET exam?
The minimum qualifying marks are 60% i.e. 90. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ EC candidates it is 55%. All questions will be multiple choice question (MCQ).


Is the any negative marks in TET exam?

No. There will be no negative marks.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued official advertisement for Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2015 Examination. Read out further for more details about SSC CHSL 2015 exam.


There is a change in SSC CHSL 2015 exam. What's the change?

Well, in last few years, SSC used to recruit Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator (DEO). But this year, SSC has made a slight changes, better to say add some posts which will be filled in through CHSL 2015 exam. Now Postal assistant/ Sorting assistant (PA/ SA) posts will be filled in through this exam as of now. In previous years, PA/ SA posts were recruited by Department of Post itself. From this year, it won't be happened. It will be through SSC.


Now, comes with vacancy, eligibility, application details.

Vacancy: The post-wise vacancy details are as follows-
  1. PA/ SA - 3523
  2. LDC - 2049
  3. DEO - 1006
Educational Qualification : Must have passed 12th standard exam or equivalent from a recognized university/ board.

Age Limit : Between 18-27 years as on 01.08.2015.

Application Process: Candidates are required to apply through online or offline. 


Important Dates: 

Online Registration ends on : 13.07.2015
Date of Exam : 1st, 15th & 22nd November, 2015

Eligibility: Candidates must pass degree level (pass course) with minimum 50% marks. The eligibility criteria is strictly maintained by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).


Do the candidates need to apply again who already applied in January-February, 2014?

Well, they don't need to reapply. The things they are required to do is to add their addition details like address, uploading of photo and signature etc. 

Do they need to pay application fees again? No, they don't need. Details are given in the official advertisement.

- Starting date of online application : 12.06.2015 (for candidates who applied TET 2013) & 18.06.2015 (For Fresh Candidates)
