WBSSC CGL 2014 Official Answer Keys released

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has just released official answer keys of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2014 exam. The written exam was held on 12th April, 2015 i.e. just after one month the answer keys have been published.


Important : The commission has cancelled total 7 questions. Candidates won't get marks if they answered these questions.So, total marks of WBSSC CGL 2014 exam will be considered as 141.50 instead of 150.

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has released notification first time for Combined Technical Level (CTL) Recruitment 2015. There are 106 vacancies available for 8 different posts. Read out further for more details about WBSSC CTL 2015 Exam.

Name of the Posts : There are total 8 posts available which are as follows-

1. Architectural assistant
2. Medical technologist (Laboratory)
3. Pharmacist 
4. Instructor (Fitter)
5. Instructor (Electrician)
6. Store-Keeper (Technical)
7. Ward Master
8. Laboratory Technician

Vacancy details: Total vacancies are 106. The post-wise vacancies are as follows-

• Architectural assistant- 29
• Medical technologist (Laboratory) - 12
• Pharmacist - 35
• Instructor (Fitter) - 08
• Instructor (Electrician) - 07
• Store-Keeper (Technical)- 02
• Ward Master - 10
• Laboratory Technician - 03

Eligibility : Madhyamik/ HS/ Graduation from a recognized university. Must have passed diploma in respective field. For more details, read out official notification.

Application Fees : Rs. 220 for UR/ OBC and Rs. 20 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.

Order of Post Preference in SSC CGL Application

Confused about SSC CGL post preference? Staff Selection Commission (SSC) gives the applicants an opportunity to choose preference of posts in Combined Graduate Level (CGL) recruitment application. It was a time when SSC has to give post allocation to all successful candidates. But now the time has been changed. Applicants can now choose their own posts that they prefer and based on their preferences, they are alloted to a post. Although post allocation is solely made on the basis of merit list (marks obtained in entire exam).


But before that, it is required to give preference of posts in CGL application. Many applicants become confused about the post preference. They didn't know in which order the post preference should be given. Based on our analysis we have given here an order of SSC CGL post preference. Hope it will be very useful to all applicants!

What should be the order of SSC CGL Post Preference? 

Well, there are total 30 posts in SSC CGL application form. The pay scales, nature of jobs are different. Grade Pay (G.P.) of some posts are Rs. 4600, some are Rs. 4200, Rs. 2800 and Rs. 2400. So considering all these things, we have arranged an order of preference of posts for SSC CGL recruitment exam. First select the posts whose GP are Rs. 4600, then Rs. 4200 and so on.

Prefence of Posts with Grade Pay Rs. 4600 :

1. Inspector of Income Tax (ITI)
2. Inspector (Examiner)
3. Inspector in Central Excise
4. Assistant Enforcement Officer
5. Assistant in CSS
6. Inspector (Preventive Officer)
7. Assistant in Central Vigilence Commission (CVC)
8. Assistant in MEA
9. Assistant in Cypher
10. Assistant in Railway
11. Assistant in AFHQ
12. Assistant in other ministries
13. Assistant in I.B.

Preference of Posts with Grade Pay Rs. 4200 :

1. Divisional Accountant
2. SI in CBI
3. Inspector in CBN (Narcotics)
4. SI in NIA
5. Inspector of Post
6. Assistant in other ministries
7. Statistical Investigator

Preference of Posts with Grade Pay Rs. 2800 :

1. Auditor in CAG
2. Auditor in CGDA
3. Auditor in CGA
4. Accountant/ Junior Account in CAG
5. Accountant/ Junior Account in CGA

Preference of Posts with Grade Pay Rs. 2400 :

1. Upper Division Clerk
2. Tax Assistant in CBDT
3. Taxx Assistant in CBEC
4. S.I. in Narcotics
5. Compiler

So, here all 30 (13+7+5+5) posts have been mentioned.
