Syllabus, Pattern of Exam of India Post PA/ SA jobs recruitment exam

Exam Pattern:

In PA/ SA exam, there are total four sections in written examination (Paper-I) which are as follows-

Written Exam (Paper-I) :
  1. General Awareness - 25 marks
  2. English Language - 25 marks
  3. Mathematics - 25 marks
  4. Reasoning & Analytical Ability - 25 marks.

There are total 100 questions that contains total 100 marks. 

Negative Marks: There are no negative marks in PA/ SA written exam.

Computer/ Typing Test (Paper-II) : After qualifying in written examination, shortlisted candidates will be called for computer typing or Data Entry test in English/ Hindi. Accuracy and Speed shall be evaluated of both Typing and Data entry tests put together tests.


Complete Syllabus for PA/ SA exam:

  • General Awareness : Questions will be asked from Current Events, Sports, History, Geography, basic economics, general politics, Indian Constitution, Science Environment etc.
  • English Language : All questions are English grammar-based. Prepositions, adverbs, conjunction, direct/indirect speech, singular & plurals, tenses, antonyms/synonyms etc.
  • Numerical Aptitude : Basically mathematics questions from matriculation/ 10th standard exam. This section covers number system, simplification, decimals, corrections, simple & compound interest, percentage, average, profit & loss, menstruation, time & work, time & distance etc.
  • Reasoning : Coding/Decoding, blood relation, series (both numerical and alphabetical), Data Sufficiency, odd one out, seating arrangement, diagram etc.

Different unions of central government employees have been demanding for a long time that besides increasing the DA to 100%, the central govt. should merge the DA with the basic pay due to the inflation and
da merger with basic in 7th cpc
hike of price of essential commodities. Now as merger of 50% DA with basic, it will result to hike in salary by 30-35%. Earlier 50% DA had been merged with basic in 5th Pay Commission, but same thing was not considered in 6th CPC.


Now 10% DA was announced earlier which was effective from 01.07.2013 and it can be expected that next DA will not be below 10% that causes hike of DA from 90% to 100%. The official notice will be available soon. Stay tuned!







What are the changes in SSC CGL posts? 

We have already mentioned that age limit, qualification for Statistical Investigator Grade-II post have been changed. Previously the upper age limit for this post was 26 years. Now it has been increased to 32 years! The eligibility criteria previously was that candidates must have passed Statistics subject as one of the paper in graduation. Now it has also been hugely changed. The changed eligibility criteria for SI Gr-II post is given below-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level.
OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level

The upper age limit for Assistant Enforcement Officer (AEO) and Sub Inspector in CBI has also been changed to 30 years from 27 years. 

The classification for these AEO and SI, CBI posts has been changed also. Previous these posts were Group-C posts. Now there have changed to Group-B posts.

Vacancy: There are total 4900 vacancies are there. The estimated vacancies may be increased before publishing of final result.

Academic Qualification: To apply for TET exam, candidates must have passed graduation/post-graduation (PG) with minimum 50 % marks. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, 45% marks in degree course is required.






Full Syllabus, Exam Pattern for WBCSSC TET 2014 exam

The TET exam consists of 150 marks. All questions will be objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). The detailed syllabus, exam pattern are given below-
  1. Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) - 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  2.  Language I (compulsory) - 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  3.  Language II (compulsory) - 30 MCQs 30 Marks
  •  (a) For Mathematics and Science teacher : Mathematics and Science - 60 MCQs of 1 mark each
  • (b) For Social studies teacher : Social Studies - 60 MCQs of 1 mark each
  • (c) For any other teacher -  either (a) or (b)
Therefore, applicants who are Commerce graduate or graduate of any other stream of education may prefer either of the combination i.e. Arts and Social Science segment or Science/Technical segment.

How to apply for WBCSS TET exam 2014? Where to get TET forms?

Candidates can only apply through offline mode. The TET 2014 application forms are being distributed from 847 selective post-offices of West Bengal. The price of TET forms is given below-
  • General/OBC candidates - Rs. 250/-
  • SC/ST/PH candidates - Rs. 80/-
  • Candidate not qualified in Part-II at 12th RLST (AT) having minimum qualification of NCTE guideline - Rs. 00/- (No fees required)
Those who wish to apply for only Hons/PG post in 13th RLST, are required to collect the application forms from 12th to 25th February 2014 and should have to submit the forms at the respective regional offices only after the publication of official notification in April, 2014.

Remember: A candidate must have to submit the TET application forms from that post office from where he/she has purchased the form. The date of purchasing and submitting of application forms is- 30th January to 8th February, 2014.
