WBSSC CGL 2014 Tier-I exam will be held on 12th April, 2015. All the applicants are eagerly waiting to know the date of preliminary exam and WBSSC has finally revealed the exam date!


This year, WBSSC is going to conduct CGL exam like SSC for the first time to recruit Inspector and Non-Gazetted Officers in various offices of the departments of Govt. of West Bengal.

Education Qualification :Candidates must be passed according to posts wise below-

1. Data Processing Assistant Grade ‘A’: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Operational Research/ Computer Science
2. Scientific Assistant (Physical–Civil): Master’s Degree in Physics/ Bacteriology
3. Quarantine Inspector: Bachelor of Science with Zoology
4. Junior Geographical Assistant: Honours Degree in Geography
5. Senior Scientific Assistant: Master’s Degree in Physics/ Bacteriology
All degree must be passed from any recognized university.

Application fees :  Candidates belonging to general and obc male candidates have to pay Rs.50/- through challan of post office. No fee for SC/ ST/ PH/women candidates.

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has finally declared the result of written exam for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in department of Food, Govt. of West Bengal in 2014-15.
