WBSSC CGL 2014 Notification, Syllabus, Online Application

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission has issued an advertisement for Combined Graduate Level 2014 examination to recruit for various posts. Read out further to get detailed information.


Vacancy, Eligibility, Online Application details for WBSSC CGL 2014 Recruitment 

Vacancy details: There are total 390 vacancies available. The post-wise vacancies are as follows-
  1. Inspector, Backward Class Welfare (Gr.B) : 331
  2. Minority Development Officer (Gr. B) : 13
  3. Research Development Officer (Gr, B) : 6
  4. Fishery Extension Officer (Gr. B) : 40

Pay Scale: The scale of pay will be Rs. 7100 to Rs. 37600 with a grade pay of Rs. 3900. The initial salary will be around Rs. 21000.

Age Limit : The age of the candidates should be between 20 to 32 years as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualification : Candidates must be a graduate in respective discipline. The details of eligibility criteria are given in the official notification.

wbssc cgl examSyllabus, Pattern of Exam : The details of syllabus, exam pattern has not been released officially. According to WBSSC, it will be published in the month of February, 2015.

How to apply for WBSSC CGL recruitment exam 2014 :

Candidates are required to apply through online mode of application. The details of same are mentioned in the official notification. Applicants should have pay Rs. 20 (for SC/ ST/ PWD) and Rs. 220 (for General/ OBC) as application fees.

Last date of online application fees: 19.01.2015 up to 4 p.m.

Official Answer Keys of SSC CGL 2014 Tier-I Exam released

ssc cgl 2014 tier-I answer keysStaff Selection Commission (SSC) has released today the official answer keys of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2014 tier-I exam which was held on 19th and 26th October, 2014 in all over India. Candidates faced very tough question papers on 19th October in both morning and evening sessions. We wrote a review on SSC CGL 2014 tier-I exam held on 19.10.2014. Read out!

How to send representation for wrong answer keys?

In official answer keys given by SSC for CGL 2014 tier-I exam, there are some answers which are incorrect. If you find or think one or more wrong answers, you may send representation to SSC directly. We already published here the procedure of sending and format of representation. Check here. Before sending the format, you need to make the following modifications in that given format-

  1. Address to Sh. Gopinath Nayak, US(QB) instead of Mr. Satya Prakash
  2. In subject, replace 'SSC CGL 2013 Tier-II Examination' with 'SSC CGL 2014 Tier-I Exam'.
  3. Mention you question booklet number
  4. Describe section-wise like Reasoning, General Awareness etc. instead of Paper-I.

SSC CGL 2013 Interview, CPT & DEST to start from 05.01.15

Good News for all SSC CGL 2013 aspirants! Staff Selection Commission has issued today an official notice about the CGL 2013 interview and computer proficiency test. They are going to conduct interview, data entry skill test (DEST) and computer proficiency test (CPT) for all interview and non-interview posts from 5th January, 2015. A month ago, SSC has issued an advertisement regarding the postponement of interview and skill test for CGL 2013 recruitment exam. Now finally the postponement has been withdrawn.

The skill test for Stenographer Group C & D recruitment exam 2014 will also be commenced from 18.12.2014. The official notification is given below-
