Cabinet approved merging of 50% DA with Basic Pay

Good news for all central government employees! Central Cabinet Ministry has approved the merger of 50 percent DA with the basic pay in 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). Now this approval will facilitate relief to around 50 lakh central govt. employees and pensioners in the country. The cabinet previously constituted the 7th CPC.

Different unions of central government employees have been demanding for a long time that besides increasing the DA to 100%, the central govt. should merge the DA with the basic pay due to the inflation and

Now 10% DA was announced earlier which was effective from 01.07.2013 and it can be expected that next DA will not be below 10% that causes hike of DA from 90% to 100%. The official notice will be available soon. Stay tuned!
