After the result, candidates have claimed that there was some cheating occurred in the re-exam and for that, lots of genuine candidates didn't get the job. Candidates are protesting in various places of the country. But the Chairman of SSC has clarified that there was no malpractice in the exam and they will complete soon the recruitment process.

Subject-wise review of SSC CGL 2014 Tier-I exam held on 19th October, 2014

SSC has shown its height of level again after CGL 2013 Tier-II re-exam! The question paper was far and far tougher than CGL 2013 tier-I re-exam. We will discuss here part-wise review. Go through!

General Intelligence (GI) : The GI section was the most easy part among the rest of the sections. In an average, candidate were able to attempt between 40-45 questions out of 50 questions. Aspirants need not apply too much logic for the questions. In one word, the questions have easy logic. Questions were asked from number/ alphabet series, code-decode, arrange according to dictionary, statement-inference, question-answer figures, venn diagrams, matrix etc.
.ssc cgl 2014 exam review
Quantitative Aptitude : One of the toughest section of the question paper. Some of the questions were very confusing and time-consuming. It has taken around 40-45 minutes to solve 35-40 questions! But the geometry and trigonometry questions were surprisingly easy. The rest of the questions were asked from profit & loss, percentages, algebra (was tricky and very calculative!), boat & stream, time & work, pipe & cistern, HCF, LCM, proportion, mensuration etc.

English Comprehension : It is the toughest section of the paper. Even the questions are tougher than the questions asked in SSC CGL 2013 Tier-II re-exam! Specially the most of one word substitution and idioms/ phrases questions are unknown to the candidates. There were two passages which were too lengthy.

General Awareness : This section was moderate and as usual. Specially the questions from economic were too tough and confusing.

So, it can be seen that the overall question paper of SSC CGL 2014 Tier-I exam held on 19.10.2014 was tougher than CGL 2013 tier-I exam and previous years' exams. It is really a tough task to attempt more than 135-140 questions within stipulated time. After the exam, according to us the cutoff marks for SSC CGL 2014 tier-I exam will not exceed 100 (for Gen category) like 2013 re-exam.

Friends, share your attempts and expected here as comments.

Bad things are happening in SSC CGL 2013 exam. Firstly, the entire recruitment process of SSC CGL 2013 was cancelled even after conducting of CGL 2013 tier-II exam! Secondly, the state preference in SSC CGL 2013 recruitment has been withdrawn.

Then what will happen? What will be its effect?

ssc cgl 2013 state preferenceNow the candidates will have no choice of state preference. As a result, the state allocation for all provisionally selected candidates will be solely made by the respective department where the candidates will be posted.

No doubt, it's really a non-sense decision by SSC. We can't such type of senseless decision from SSC. As a result it will encourage fraud in post-recruitment process. Mr. N.K. Raghupathy, Ex-Chairman of SSC, has just expressed his anger on social media! Let's see what he has posted in Twitter and Facebook -
So, it is now official. SSC will not make state allotment in CGLE 2013. What a senseless decision. SSC appears to be bent on burying transparency and thus directly fostering corruption. It first dispensed with the transparent display of marks of all candidates, thus indirectly encouraging frauds in SSC Examinations and now this........

What's you opinion? Share with us!

So friends, what do you think- did SSC take right decision or not? Share your views as comments here. We will be eagerly waiting for your opinion.

Review of SSC CGL 2013 Tier-II Exam held on 20th & 21st September 2014

ssc cgl tier-II review"Many People, Many Opinion"- this would be the appropriate line for CGL Tier-II 2013 re-exam. After the re-exam, some candidates says 'Math paper was easy, but English was tough', some says 'Math was tough, but English was easy'. But at the end, it can be said that the overall question papers (Paper-I & II) were quite tougher than that of previous year's exam. Now let's have look on paper-wise review of CGL 2013 re-exam.

Quantitative Abilities (Paper-I) :

Well, when the exam of maths paper was started it had been seemed that the question paper was easier than previous year's exam. But whenever get into mensuration, geometry, the candidates felt horrible! The questions on mensuration were too lengthy and thus it took too much time to read out the questions! But after reading the questions (successfully!), candidates stuck to solve the problem. As a result, lots of time were wasted such a way. It is very difficult to solve 60-65 questions correctly within the stipulated time.

Questions were asked from Algebra, HCF/LCM, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Data Interpretation, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Mensuration, Geometry, Height & Distance etc. There are 1-2 wrong questions/ options.

English Language & Comprehension  (Paper-II) :

The English paper was seemed to be easy, but not easier than previous year's exam. There were 5 passages that contain total 30 marks and this portion was easy. But the questions on re-arrangement were too lengthy and this sections contains total 20 marks! So, imagine how much time you need to solve these! But overall this paper was average. On an average candidates are able to solve 160-170 questions.

Statistics (Paper-III) :

The re-exam for statistics i.e. paper-III was conducted on 20.09.2014. According to the candidates, the statistics paper was moderate. Some parts are easy, some are tough. But overall the question paper was a little bit tougher than previous year's question paper. We will publish soon the pdf of the complete statistics question paper on this website.

Friends, now your time to share here your attempts in SSC CGL 2013 re-exam held on 21st September, 2014. Also share your attempts in paper-III if you have appeared for.
