SSC CHSL 2013 exam review held on 20.10.2013







The overall paper of SSC CHSL 2013 exam was not so tough as compared to last year's question paper (according the candidates).

Reasoning: This section was easy. Question were from analogy, odd one out, series, statement-conclusion etc.

ssc chsl exam reviewGeneral English: Question were asked from error correction, fill in the blanks, sentence improvement, passage, synonym/antonym etc. Paper was easy.

Numerical Ability: This section was average and time consuming.Some question are very lengthy.

General Awareness: The GK section was little bit of tough.

SAIL Technician Trainee recruitment 2013 vacancy, eligibility details

Name of the post: Operator-cum-Technician Trainee.

Vacancy: Total vacancies available 330. The detailed vacancies are given below-

Today a notice has been released regarding the cancellation of SSC CGL 2013 Tier-III/Descriptive exam. So, there will be no Tier-III exam. That means after qualifying in CGl Tier-II exam, shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview (for interview post only). Although for Assistant in CSS, Tax Assistant posts, candidates are required to appear for computer skill test.

Age Limit: Candidates' ages must be between 17-21 years as on 01.01.2014.

Selection procedure, Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for UPSC SCRA Recruitment Exam 2014

Full Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for SSC Stenographer (Gr. C&D) Recruitment Exam

Pattern of Exam:

The recruitment will be consisted of written exam and skill test.

Written Exam- It will consist of an objective type question paper. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:

  1. General Intelligence and Reasoning- 50 marks for 5 questions
  2. General Awareness- 50 marks for 5 questions
  3. English Language and Comprehension- 100 marks for 100 questions
Total time duration- 120 minutes or 2 hours.

Skill Test for SSC stenographer post:

After qualifying in written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for a skill test. This will be of qualifying nature, marks in skill test will not be added to total marks obtained by the candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade-C post and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade-D post. This will be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time is given below-

  • For Stenographer Grade-D: 50 minutes ( English ) / 65 minutes ( Hindi )
  • For Stenographer Grade-C: 40 minutes ( English ) / 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

Syllabus of written test for SSC Stenographer post:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: In this section, questions will be of of both verbal and non-verbal type. Generally questions are asked from arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, discriminating observation, analogies, relationship concepts,  visual memory etc.
  • General Awareness: In this part, questions are asked from History, Geography, Economic scene, Sports,  Culture, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, Current Affairs etc.
  • English Language and Comprehension: In this section, questions comprise of synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure etc.
