Vacancy: Total vacancies are 40.

Age Limit: Age must not exceed 35 years as on 01.07.2013.

Pay Scale: Rs. 10000 with a increment of Rs. 400 per year up to 2 years. Then it will be of Rs. 10800 with same increment per year.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have hold a first class diploma in Civil Engineering from a AICTE approved institution/university.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected through personal interview.

UGC NET June 2013 result declared: LS & JRF Cutoff released

In June 2013 UGC NET exam, out of 738955 registered candidates, 574448 candidates appeared for the exam. Total 23718 candidates have qualified for the eligibility of Lectureship (LS) and 3684 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The written test was conducted in total 78 subjects.

SSC CHSL 2013 exam review held on 20.10.2013

The overall paper of SSC CHSL 2013 exam was not so tough as compared to last year's question paper (according the candidates).

Reasoning: This section was easy. Question were from analogy, odd one out, series, statement-conclusion etc.

ssc chsl exam reviewGeneral English: Question were asked from error correction, fill in the blanks, sentence improvement, passage, synonym/antonym etc. Paper was easy.

Numerical Ability: This section was average and time consuming.Some question are very lengthy.

General Awareness: The GK section was little bit of tough.

Name of the post: Operator-cum-Technician Trainee.

No Tier-III/Descriptive Test in SSC CGL 2013 Exam

Today a notice has been released regarding the cancellation of SSC CGL 2013 Tier-III/Descriptive exam. So, there will be no Tier-III exam. That means after qualifying in CGl Tier-II exam, shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview (for interview post only). Although for Assistant in CSS, Tax Assistant posts, candidates are required to appear for computer skill test.

Vacancy: Total post available 42.

Age Limit: Candidates' ages must be between 17-21 years as on 01.01.2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed HSC or 10+2 level exam in mathematics and physics/chemistry. Graduate in math and physics or chemistry can also apply for this post. For detailed eligibility details, refer to official notification.


Selection procedure, Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for UPSC SCRA Recruitment Exam 2014

Mode of Selection: Candidates will be selected on the merit of both written test and personality test.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern: In written exam, there will be 3 papers each of 200 marks (Total-600 marks). The detailed exam pattern is given below-
  1. General Ability Test (English, GK, Psychological Test)- 200 marks
  2. Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry)- 200 marks
  3. Mathematics- 200 marks
Time Duration: 2 hours or 120 minutes are for each paper.

Personality Test/Interview: After qualifying in written exam, shortlisted candidates will have to be appeared for a personality test/interview of 200 marks.

Full Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for SSC Stenographer (Gr. C&D) Recruitment Exam

Pattern of Exam:

The recruitment will be consisted of written exam and skill test.

Written Exam- It will consist of an objective type question paper. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:

  1. General Intelligence and Reasoning- 50 marks for 5 questions
  2. General Awareness- 50 marks for 5 questions
  3. English Language and Comprehension- 100 marks for 100 questions
Total time duration- 120 minutes or 2 hours.

Skill Test for SSC stenographer post:

After qualifying in written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for a skill test. This will be of qualifying nature, marks in skill test will not be added to total marks obtained by the candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade-C post and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade-D post. This will be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time is given below-

  • For Stenographer Grade-D: 50 minutes ( English ) / 65 minutes ( Hindi )
  • For Stenographer Grade-C: 40 minutes ( English ) / 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

Syllabus of written test for SSC Stenographer post:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning: In this section, questions will be of of both verbal and non-verbal type. Generally questions are asked from arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, discriminating observation, analogies, relationship concepts,  visual memory etc.
  • General Awareness: In this part, questions are asked from History, Geography, Economic scene, Sports,  Culture, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, Current Affairs etc.
  • English Language and Comprehension: In this section, questions comprise of synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure etc.

Well, if you try to access SSC's website through Google Chrome or Mozila Firebox browser, then you would be unable to do so. Try with Internet Explorer browser and you will able to access ssc's site and all the pages or links can be accessed smoothly without having any problem. Try it now!

Date of SSC FCI CPT Exam 2013 for NW Region

For North-Western region, SSC FCI CPT will be started from 07.10.2013. The CPT exam for the additional candidates who were qualified after the reallocating the marks of Numerical Aptitude in SSC FCI Tier-II exam 2013 (providing 2 marks instead of 1 marks) will be held after 20.10.2013.
