Syllabus, Pattern of Exam for UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandants) Recruitment

1. Written Test: There will be a written exam which contains two papers- Paper I and Paper II.

  • Paper I- General Ability and Intelligence (250 Marks)
  • Paper II- General Studies, Essay and English Comprehension (200 Marks)
The paper I will be of objective type questions in both English and Hindi languages. The paper II will be of descriptive writing skills on essay in both languages. But the medium of Precis writing, Comprehension will be in English language.


2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): After clearing the written test, successful candidates will have to summoned for Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standard Test. The physical efficiency test details are given below-
